7th November, 1993- Sonia & I tying the nuptial knot as per the Anand Karaj- the Sikh tradition- in the heart of my beloved Delhi, in what is labelled as an ‘arranged’ marriage…
As life rolls on, on the edge of a knife,
With luster of the Sun on one side,
And a dim, bottomless pit on the other,
The edge being sharp, ruthless, thirsty,
Its deep hunger, waiting to be satiated……
Often, very often, a gust of fate- fickle and sudden,
Throws us out of balance,
And the menace of advancing shadows,
Long, ominous, gloomy,
Reduce hope to a dying flicker of faith………
Those who have known me over the years will vouch that I am not an easy person to live with; the same holds true for Sonia , who had to struggle in the initial period of our marriage, before the ship stabilized, and moved to safe waters; The blessings of a spiritual force were always with us in this journey, sometimes arduous – here, at the Darbar Sahib, in Amritsar, sometime in 2016.
It is then, that you go for a valiant pushback,
Making you, my friend and fellow traveler,
God’s own warrior, and blessed child,
With His light burning in you,
March on, and on, and on……..
28 years of being together- teri baahon mein dum nikle, hasrat yeh hamari hai, dil cheez hai kya jaana, yeh jaan bhi tumhari hai……

Sonia has beautiful eyes full of love and compassion….
You are such an angry not so young man 🙃
It’s wonderful to see you both together….

Pleasantly surprised to get a feedback from you after a long time- trust they will be more frequent and consistent as i really look forward to them from my younger brother; thanks for your wishes- mean a lot to us…….
Verse-style is what I would say! Very well penned, the thoughts of syrupy togetherness which keeps the journey going.
The signature note of optimism and hope at the end of the composition puts the seal of APS

No relationship is perfect, it’s the imperfection that makes it worth living for, fighting for! I believe that’s what led this beautiful relationship to flourish! Beautiful words. My day is made! :’)
It has come as a pleasant surprise, and wonderful gift, to get a feedback from u after a long hiatus- actually, it is u who has made my day- grateful for that; ur assessment of any relationship, and specially a man-woman relationship, is just what the doctor ordered, and shows ur level of maturity at such a young age………
