Peace & War

By

War & peace,

Or peace & war,

Opposite sides of the same coin,

Or different coins,

Tolstoy’s prerogative….

Mythical, historical,

Medieval, or contemporary,

Shifting mindsets,

Evolving complexities,

Changing masks, same evil,

Old fault lines, new battles,

Manipulating regimes, fallen soldiers,

Rapacious rulers, drooling puppets,

Marauding mobs, torrent of fear,

Silent shrieks, frozen tears,

Muzzled laughter, charred bodies,

Broken hearts, shattered dreams,

Wounded doves, elusive peace…

Truly heartbreaking to hear and see the pain and heartache that war causes for millions. I hope you can find comfort like I have with the following passage….Isaiah 14:7 The whole earth now rests, free of disturbance. People cry out for joy.) That passage gives hope and assurance that the unrest that is taking place all over the world will soon end.

War nd peace are definitely part of the same coin. Both have to exist. One to maintain ecobalance on mother earth and the other to maintain harmony nd love on mother earthπŸ™

You are one of my foremost readers, who give feedback on almost every post 🏣 And when the feedback is not forthcoming I get a bit concerned as I feel you have not deemed the post suitable for a read…so the reminders…but in this particular feedback πŸ™‚ what does ecobalance mean in terms of war…a new perspective for me to πŸ€” ponder…

The piece reminded me of War and Peace of Tolstoy. The narrative is clear and straight and the words laden with emotions depict the predicament of a war torn milieu.
The helplessness of the author is written large all over the poem

    Thought provoking and well expressed!

There have been changes in the timeline, but everything else remains constant. From the early days in caves to our present world guided by AI, and soon to be fully run by it, humans have not undergone significant changes mentally. The persistent greed and lack of concern for others makes me contemplate the distinction between humans and the animal kingdom.

Well Articulated feedback; I was reading an article today, written by the British PM, outlining the risks which AI may pose in the future… There are dangerous times ahead…

You have enumerated the ongoing conflicts which were behind my penning these lines; But while individuals are responsible for maintaining cordial relationships with all, there is an ever increasing risk of indoctrination setting in… thanks for your inputs…….
